Why we built StockGenie
StockGenie started with a simple frustration. A new investor in India can open a demat account in minutes — but the moment they try to research a stock, they hit a wall of jargon, dense filings and charts that assume years of experience.
The information was all technically available, yet it might as well have been locked away. Annual reports run to hundreds of pages. Ratios mean nothing without context. Charts look like noise until someone teaches you to read them. So most people did the only thing they could: they followed tips from television, WhatsApp groups and strangers online — and far too often, they lost money doing it.
We thought the problem was not a lack of data, but a lack of understanding. What if the slow, skilled work of reading financials and charts could be done by AI, and the result explained in plain Hindi or English — to anyone, in seconds? That question became StockGenie: an app that does the heavy analysis for you and tells you, clearly, what it found.

We would rather you understand why a company looks healthy than simply be told that it is. Understanding compounds; blind signals do not.
It also means being honest about limits. No AI can predict the market, and we never pretend otherwise. StockGenie does not issue buy, sell or hold calls, and it is not a SEBI-registered adviser.
